My suggestion ...I love your test piece. Love it!
My suggestion for your piece is a circle with lines coming out of the middle - pie piece-like but small thin lines - gathered or something very textural. Have the piece partially "under" the left (as you look at it) piece that comes down. Definite disadvantage with the written word - I'm such a visual person.

Ha - I saw laura west kong and daughter's pic posted on Pokey's blog - Quilting Arts:)jojohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14023898378555995919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2091952809418376877.post-52591929746787622342009-07-29T08:06:36.364-05:002009-07-29T08:06:36.364-05:00Not sure I'm one to add my 2cents but the side...Not sure I'm one to add my 2cents but the sides kinda need to be closer together. But I really want to comment on the sample and the previous post. Scrumptious texture! I'm beginning to identify that texture is what particulary catches my fancy. Thanks for explaining the technique you've been working with.ellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15188791638739872773noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2091952809418376877.post-49361939018247521902009-07-29T07:20:43.689-05:002009-07-29T07:20:43.689-05:00I love the color scheme of your UFO. Love your test sample too. Can't wait to see the beading you add to it.Terri Stegmillerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12937147195403484110noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2091952809418376877.post-35920486138017101912009-07-29T00:10:13.503-05:002009-07-29T00:10:13.503-05:00I think you're off to a great start! Maybe it just needs more of what you've already done, to fill up more of the empty spaces and give it that chaotic energy.

As far as colors go: when in doubt, add chartreuse.

Thanks for visiting my blog. =(^_^)=laura west konghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01992230101346783651noreply@blogger.com
