Two Creative Studios

If you haven't been over to Two Creative Studios yet, now's the time to visit.

The site is run by the extremely talented artists, Terri Stegmiller and Sue Bleiweiss. Terri and Sue are endlessly energetic, writing amazing articles on all manner of mixed-media creations, offering classes- both online and single download pdf's- and of course, creating beautiful art.

Each lady has their own special style, and having taken several classes from Sue (and wanting very much to take a class from Terri soon), I can tell you that they are warm, receptive and incredibly helpful as teachers and as artists.

And today I'm really juiced, because not only did they publish a new FREE tutorial on soy wax batik'ing, they have also announced a special give-away of all kinds of fun goodies for three lucky winners. All you have to do is go to their site and sign up for their newsletter!

Trust me when I tell you, this is not one of those hokey spam things, these ladies and their writing, techniques and talent are the real thing. So go sign up and be entered in the give-away. You won't be sorry.

Happy creating!

P.S. These beauties arrived today... license plate covers for my car!

Cool, huh?

Hi Judi, Love you blog site. I decided to comment here 'cos I don't need you to put me in the give away draw!!! I admire the diversity of ideas and tallents you have. It probably says a lot about my need to be in CONTROL!!! that I can only concentrate on one type of fiber art at a time. I wander off looking at others work, but keep comming back to the same few forms of thread painting for myself. I also like to have feed back and comments on my work and it is great to be able to chat to others with the same general interests. My best friend here has not idea why I do what I do, she just likes housework and has no creative interests at all.(I guess we are a mystery to each other) I've always said I can find housework for her in my place!! But, finding people with common interests, even on the other side of the world is such a gift. So, keep up the good work, I for one will keep watching to see what you are up to and perhaps leave a comment now and then to let you know I'm still here!! Barb.

Hi Blackbar! Your profile isn't availabe so I wasn't able to email you directly... I hope you check back here soon and see this response!

I am like you, most of my family and friends get a glazed look in their eyes when I try to talk about my art. My husband has learned over the years to at least adopt a listening posture, even if he is thinking about mowing the lawn or how the Dolphins are doing. ;)

Welcome to my blog! :D

Love the dyed cotton batting you've been doing, and I definitely WANT one of those license plate covers :-)

Sorry Judi, I am new to anything computer and got all muddled up with user name/profile etc. I looked at your blog after reading your post in Quilting Arts and so my google account has a different identity. Too much brain needed for this, I'm better at sewing machines! I am Barbsthreadart and you have visited my web site recently. Hope this makes sense, happy to chat anytime:) take care. Barb.

Blackbar, no worries... your profile is still turned off, so it will be difficult for folks to find you and reply to you. :D Have a great weekend!

You have expanded my horizons! Dyed batting, here I come!

Lynndel, if only I could laid claim to the idea. :D However, I saw a segment about it on Quilting Arts TV. I will find the episode and make a quick edit to that post, pointing to the episode guide. I've been having a lot of fun with the dyed batting... I'm sure I'll do more in the future!
