I want to thank all of you who sent emails, messages and comments about my husband and his health... it helped tremendously knowing that there was such a warm community to lean on now and then. Thanks especially to Ellen, whose sense of humor and open spirit made getting and reading her letters a joy; their arrival offered healing moments during exhausting days, and I can't express how much I appreciated them.
Greg is back at home, sassy as ever, and raring to get back to work on Monday!
While I've had absolutely no head or spirit for creating during his hospitalization and recovery this week, next week I will try to hit the ground running- more fabrics are required by family members so I will be cutting into a new bolt of cotton sateen. I've never dyed sateen, so I can't wait to see what happens.
In the meantime, happy creating (and thanks again, everyone!)

This is all good news indeed and I am happy for you both. I'll look forward to seeing your future projects again, and hopefully there will be no news regarding your husband to be posted (as in no news is good news).
so glad the sky is blue and not the moon! You've been there, done that so now go make some messes! Thanks for the rosy glow that I now have on my cheeks!
So glad hubby is home and looking forward to work! You'll LOVE dyeing the sateen! I got cheap and started to purchase from JoAnne's when I want to experiment..otherwise, I use the 'real' stuff from Kaufman. The sateen is beautiful and takes the dyes so well.
Cotton sateen is my very favorite and it takes the dye so very nice. I think you will love it.
