X-Acto Giveaway!!

The awesome folks at X-Acto wrote to me recently and asked if I'd be willing to try out some new products. Willing? I'd have tackled their spokesperson and filched them, if I could! If you've read this blog for any length of time, you know how much I adore and depend on X-Acto products, and these new toys... errrummmm tools... turned out to be no exception.

Now it's time to share the wealth with my blog readers. One very lucky person will be chosen randomly to receive direct from X-Acto some excellent blade handles (with blades, natch!) and one super-sharp pair of scissors.

First up is the:

X3000™
  • Hobby knife that includes built-in blade storage
  • Anti-roll knife handle and textured no-slip grip available in black, cranberry and royal blue
  • Coming to Michaels and Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Stores in May

I loved this tool, and the built-in storage is incredibly handy.

Next we have:

Curve™
  • A lightweight, maneuverable knife with a contoured handle to guide finger placement and add comfort
  • Rubberized, no-slip grip that comes in red or blue

This was a yummy handful with a very comfortable grip (which is particularly important to me, considering how long I hold them!)You can tell I used this one a lot because I got paint all over it!

Next:

AXENT™
  • The #1 X-ACTO Knife you know and love, now available with a flare of color in red or blue
  • Solid aluminum knife handle for increased durability
  • Coming soon to retailers

I really loved the look of this tool!

And finally:

Multi-Material Scissors
  • Long-lasting scissors made with stainless steel blades
  • Cuts through multiple materials including scrapbook paper, burlap, denim, felt, cork, leather, plastic sheets, strip magnet and aluminum wire

How handy is it to not need multiple scissors to cut a variety of materials?

So, how do you win this great package? Just comment on this blog and tell me what neat projects you're inspired to create with all these fun products! Couldn't be easier, right?

I will choose a winner in a few days. Good luck, everyone!

I heart sharp instruments! I use my x-acto to cut nearly everything. Yesterday it was cardboard for some photo frame backs.

OMG! Drooling! I love my exacto knives (plural) but you can't have too many. Especially since the blades suddenly got so expensive! I just used up my last box which was a few years old. Now I am paying through the nose for them.

Lucky you! Count me in for a chance to win!

I'm guessing I won't be able to enter this from the UK but I just started screenprinting with paper stencils and x-acto knives sound perfect!!

The first thing I thought of when I saw the photos of those exactos was carving a stamp! Thanks, Judi!

I've been doing a lot of mixed-media work and the multi-material scissors would solve a lot of problems. Spending too much time figuring out what to use to cut something, and suspect I have ruined some blades by cutting above their capabilities. all these toys look wonderful

I used my x-acto yesterday! I'm making one of those big prints you can get printed at Kinko's. Don't know how I would have done it without an x-acto!

I'd be cutting fiber paper for kiln carved fused glass and other mixed media projects.

I've been cutting freezer paper stencils. With them to take to a workshop I gave last weekend. I would love to have more xactos for students to use. I like the look of the ergonomic design.

As a matter of fact, two days ago I struggled with a clumsy box cutter and was wishing for an X-acto knife. Someone had given me several sturdy, perfectly-sized boxes to make those challenging, interactive cat toys that my kitties play with. I got the job done, but it would have been much easier with the proper tool.

Judi, your work with X-Acto knives had made me WANT to have more than one! The ones you are showing look so user friendly and you absolutely cannot have too many 'cut-anything' scissors. I need to cut stamps and stencils!!!

Ah! I have a yen to cut stamps!

These look wonderful! I would love to use them to cut more stencils, stamps, paper designs etc.

What wouldn't I use them on is the better question! I purchased a stack of stamp making supplies recently and have put off carving until I find a tool I can use for long periods of time without enduring cramping hands. Sounds like May is the time to buy a new Xacto! I love them for cutting out stencils. The scissors are definately going on the shopping list. Thanks for the opportunity to drop my name into the hopper. xo

I would use the knives in this package to create more rubber stamps! I love my xacto knives but the handle is so straight and hard I would love to have a curved soft handle - especially one that holds the extra blades so that I don't lose them.

I have to hide them to keep them...then remembering where "safekeeping" is becomes the challenge!

I guess an Aussie win is out of the question to but that's ok, i'm new to mixed media and a fairly new follower of your blog, and gathering supplies, I've been trying to make stencils with what we have but its not really working, Im having a lot of fun though so all is well. xo

I am always in need of an X-acto to cut little images for collage. I still have one that a friend gave me in college (urm...late 1980s) but I am forever misplacing it and would love to have an upgrade :) Thanks for the opportunity!

I always need to cut something in my home-base studio. Those days, I use my old sturdy classic X-Acto to cut Yupo and watercolor paper.
I have to admit that he scissor would be great because I broke the tip of mine (not X-Acto)recently...
